I recently made a trip to Cape Cod and there was a lot of discussion about windfarms and the possible disruption to navigation for airplanes. Is this a real threat and is it only in the Cape Cod area or are there other areas in the country that are dealing with this? I noticed on a drive through southern MN many windfarms. Is this an area that would be difficult to fly through because of the windfarms? We have discussed the possibility of a wind generator on the lot next to our home but with my recent interest in flying I don’t want to create a problem for other pilots.
Thanks for your question, Jeanne. I’ll put some research together and get an answer posted soon. Keep the questions coming.
